10-minute core and abs home work-out to keep you fit during this lockdown

During this pandemic, staying home is somewhat of a mandate. Work, entertainment, and most of the things from the pre-pandemic days have now started taking place in one’s home. Since the gyms are closed, working out from home using sports watches is becoming a new health trend. Here is a 10-minute core and abs workout you can practice at home.

Dead Bug

This is a safe and effective workout that focuses on strengthening core muscles. You can easily do it at home by following the steps: Lie on the ground and put your hands and legs skyward. Take your right arm and left leg to the ground and get back to the position where you started. Rotate to other arm and leg.

Kneeling Good Morning

If you want to work your abs and glutes, this workout is apt. It is practical and simple and can be done indoors without any sports equipment. All you have to do is start with a high plank, with one knee try to circle from one elbow to the other, and repeat this with the other leg for toned abs.

Plank With Leg Twist

This simple exercise works the muscles of the back, glutes, core, and chest. This one again starts with a high plank and then you twist your body to a side lifting one arm. Then, you lower your butt on the ground and repeat with the other arm.

Bear Crawl

In this exercise, you have to stand on all fours and walk sideways. Take four steps each in the left and right direction. The bear crawl is great for working core muscles and gaining stability. Also, it’s a good supplement to resistance exercises.

Side Plank Lift

Stand on your right knee while the left leg is stretched out to one side. Then bring your upper body to the ground, exactly like in the push-ups. Follow this workout for a strong core and ideal posture.

To track your exercises, consider investing in a Fitbit watch. Modern fitness trackers also have built-in GPS so that location is no barrier for you. Also, owning a Fitbit is as good as hiring a personal trainer, but better since it’s lightweight and portable.
